Aggreko

Creating an online presence in 200+ countries.

Problem

Aggreko provides heating, chilling and power equipment around the world. They’ve helped light up Glastonbury, run hospitals during disasters and even cool data servers. They have incredible stories of how power has connected people. And yet their online experience was disjointed with no clear narrative of who they are and what they do for millions of people around the world. This made it hard to stand toe-to-toe with their competitors.

Solution

I was part of a large digital content and design team to completely transform the brand. We began by workshopping with Aggreko teams from around the world – from Glasgow to Singapore. Once we learned about the organisation’s history, its approach and its people we started to explore and define who Aggreko is. Together we worked on their visual and voice identity, their website IA and UX and their long-form web content like articles and case studies.

Impact

We delivered a responsive, customer-centric website that used dynamic personalisation, user segmentation and marketing automation to connect with customers in over 200 countries. With better-organised information and navigation users can easily browse, learn and buy, no matter where in the world they are.

The website was nominated in the User Experience UK awards in 2017.
