Helping osteoarthritis patients live a pain-free, independent life

We Move is an online health intervention platform for osteoarthritis patients on 3-year specialist waitlists to help them independently manage their condition, reduce pain, and improve their quality of life. I partnered with product designers, researchers, engineers, patients and clinical specialists at Victoria University and Western Health in Australia to co-design the We Move platform.

Co-design workshop facilitation

Facilitated research and iterative prototyping workshops alongside product designers and engineers to co-design the We Move platform with orthopaedic patients, surgeons, physiotherapists. The goal was to balance clinical accuracy, patient usability and technical feasibility.

Accessible healthcare content design

Designed the content approach for the platform’s core user experiences, such as sign-up and goal setting. As well as co-designing the 8-week module learning framework with surgeons, physiotherapists and dieticians to make sure we broke down complex orthopaedic, dietary, and mental wellbeing advice into bite-sized, actionable guidance.

Localisation content strategy

Partnered with multicultural specialists in Melbourne’s Vietnamese and Thai communities to translate clinical content and video guidance into different languages.

Writing guides and content operations

Created clear content guidelines so that Victoria University, Western Health and other health organisations could evolve and expand the content on the We Move platform. The guidelines focused on writing content for older adults Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) communities with low health literacy or English as a second language.
